Why all this bitterness, from both sides? As a UNT fan, I'm excited for the win.

...but SMU is a damn fine institution, and has a lot of athletic and acedemic tradition.

...and UNT is not the little "alsorand" school we used to be. I don't know why these two schools have to be so nasty to each other. Attacking each other's programs, facilitites and the like. It's just Silly.

UNT is very strong in some areas, weak in others.
SMU is very strong in some areas, weak in others.

I'm not sure why this is so hard for everyone to admit and be friendly.

I met a few SMU folks this weekend at fouts, and they were all perfectly nice and complementary. I hope I represented North Texas as well and politely as they represented SMU.

a little bit to much time on your hands NTSU fan?

NTSU, Northwest Arkansas State, Sam Houston State, Southwest Texas State. All first rate schools that I would be proud to attend. All have their strengths and weaknesses and are of course "on equal footing" with SMU.

Hope springs eternal.
