Please get it rightWhen we post news about our team, can we have all the accurate facts before we jump on this web and the play the role of alarmist?
On Monday, it was posted that RB DeMyron Martin was out for the year with a broken foot. We read on Tuesday in the DMN that he is out until maybe mid-October. BIG DIFFERENCE!!! When information is relayed to the masses, please make you know what you heard. Very frustrating.
Rivals subscribers, apparently. The stories on this site have always proven to be pretty dead-on, from what I've seen. That season preview and the recruiting deal are lightyears better than anything I've seen about SMU, anywhere (print or web).
Didn't the Big 10 also have a team get whipped by D-IAA New Hampshire?
Stallion you are widely known and even loved/or/hated for voicing your opinion atleast 10 times a day on ponyfans.. whoever said the big 10 is the best conference was voicing their OPINION.. this site is full of opinions, thats one of the reasons why it exists and yes they(Big 10) do have the #1 team in the nation who just pounded the defending national champs.. yes they(UT) don't have VY but they are still the defending national champs who were ranked #2 in the nation..
I am not Stallion. That is a fact, not an opinion.
Indeed, Northwestern did lose to New Hampshire, I-AA. The Wildcats head coach also died of heart attack about 1 month before the season started. Probably not a good idea to kick a program in the teeth when it is dealing with such devastation.
If you want take shots at Penn State getting throttled at Notre Dame, that would have been the better approach. BUT HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS: All of you anti-Big 10ers are now watching for their scores on a weekly basis. Yeeeeeessssssssssss!!!!!!
Oh settle down. Ohio State is No. 1, but what else? Does Michigan scare anyone? Iowa? Penn State? All good teams, but hardly the dominant conference top to bottom. Stack them up in a tournament (No. 1 vs. No. 1, No. 2 vs. No. 2, etc), and the SEC and ACC would whip the Big 10. Pac-10 might, too.
I am sorry "IF" the information I posted yesterday about DeMyron "being out for the year" proves to be incorrect.
Someone at the luncheon yesterday did in fact ask Coach Bennett in front of the entire luncheon about Demyron and Coach Bennett replied that they were going to ask for some type of medical red shirt for Demyron which would mean he would be "out for the year". When I posted yesterday about Demyron that was the information I was going on, that had just been said at the luncheon by the SMU Head Football Coach in front of the entire audience. Not sure what changed after Bennett said that to the luncheon audience yesterday. Sorry guys, but I would never purposely post or mislead people. I guess we'll see if D-man does in fact return this year. C-ya @ Milos!
That's what I thought. At the luncheon, they were talking medical redshirt. Since then the situation changed.
Besides, if he misses six or seven games now, it may as well be the season. The info here is still pretty darned good. Quit whining. The gist of the info was accurate. He's gone for the foreseeable future.
