to Bennett's credit, he repeated that he believes SMU should be playing UNT because they are a regional rival. I hope we keep playing them. The series is not likely to be as lopsided as it's been over our histories, because we no longer have the SWC "separation factor", but I really do believe a series with UNT will be every bit as spirited as our games with TCU.

I'm ticked at Phil for backpeddling on the bowl talk. Suddenly, he's lost confidence in his team and doesn't believe in their ability and doesn't think they're good enough.

Actually, I seriously doubt he's lost confidence in these guys. I just think he's backing away, finally, from saying it in public.
