I put the noose away....

Thanks Mustangs for showing that we have some life. Sam Houston is pretty bad, but at least Willis can show he has an arm (Rusty?)

I said that a three to four touchdown win and I was back. Did not think they would actually do it.

I have to give CSTV props. I have never watched a SMU home game on the internet (since I have never missed one), but the picture quality was suprisingly good.

I still think we have a LONG way to go....but at least they SAVED THE SEASON. YES....SAVED THE SEASON (for me)...Please do not lose to Arkansas State.

I thought that Sam Houston's offense was pretty good. They were probably hurt by the fact that they were having to use Daugherty, who was their 2nd string quarterback. However, he impressed me and several other who were sitting near me. Its lucky that he didn't have more experience before playing us. I could see why he had been recruited by Tech.

The SamH offense actually moved the ball and ran a pretty efficient offense. That SMU's first- and second-string defense gave up one score (their second came against the No. 3s) was greatly encouraging. Coach Bennett talked after the game about how one of the things he liked the most about the game was the fact that he played every non-redshirt on the team (except kickers/punters), and hoped that would encourage more intensity from backups during practice, because those guys are going to need to play, eventually.

DBB sorry you could not make it to the game and thank you for the tickets. Will see you for the Arkie State game and I convinced TRavis to come to NOLA.

SMUPONY94,

Get into Dallas earlier next week. Home-Opener for "The Tailgate".

Good to know more are coming to NOLA. Maybe a few more after the ASU game.
