Justin Holliday6-6, 170 Wingman from Campbell High North Hollywood, California-rated the No. 17 prospect in California and has a Big Time final 5-all of which have offered-of SMU, ASU, Tech, Washington, and USC. Will visit SMU first but plans to visit all 5 schools. Averaged 20 ppg and 10.5 rpgCould be a big time double-dip because he has a younger brother who is the No. 2 ranked player in the NATION in the Class of 2008 name Jtue Holliday. Jtrue is the No. 1 ranked Shooting Guard in 2008.
His high school is actually Campbell Hall, which is a small private, college prep school in North Hollywood.
In the deja-vu department, back in 1997 there were twin brothers who played at Harvard-Westlake High in North Hollywood (another private school), Jarron and Jason Collins. They both went to Stanford and played four years (1998-2001). Their teams won 3 Pac-10 championships, and lost in the final four freshman year and the elite eight senior year. Jarron now plays for the Jazz and Jason plays for the Nets.
SMU Basketball is back...If we could get Holliday we could be in the NCAA tournament next year no joke, we would have the talent. Who knows I think we have a shot this year, we will be short players, but lets see what Doherty can do...
GO PONIES!!!
Re: SMU Basketball is back...

From what I saw this evening...school spirit looked in pretty good shape. Shook hands with Coach D on the way to the stadium and saw him meet up with his family and enter in for the game. Great guy...damn glad he is here.
Rivals reports offers from us, Arizona State, USC, Texas Tech and Washington. Sounds promising.
Go get him, Coach D! Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!
You gotta think that the weekend went well. I forget every year how incredible the Boulevard is. Our facilities are incredible, save Moody which is getting an upgrade -- I'm sure the blueprints were rolled out there. Doh's a nationally recognized name. Here's hoping he closes the deal with Holliday.
