Is it just me or did he look like DeMyron Martin tonight? Not only that, he is a heck of a lot faster than Dorsey. He better be starting against Tulane.

No he did not look like DeMyron. He looked like James Mapps. Martin is a very different back. Just look forward to the one-two punch we will have when D-Mart comes back healthy. I love it!!!

Other than the fumbling.. I think he looks an awful lot like DM.. very similar running styles, though DM might have the speed advantage and better hands, they're both very hard nosed north-south backs. I can't wait indeed until DM is back so we can have that 1-2 punch. I'm hopeful.. I know these last two teams weren't teams that we should have lost to, but still.. it's great to see us totally blow them out.

Here's to keeping up the momentum on the road..

Before we give Mapps the Heisman, let us keep in mind that he made most of his yards when SMU was ahead by, oh I don't know, say, 40 point! Bottom line is he did well but he needs to prove that he is for real in the clutch next week. A 100+ yard game next week is an accomplishment.

Looks an awful ot like DM? Are you blind? Mapps is about a foot shorter; about 50 pounds lighter; and much faster. Mapps had a great game, but other than the result, he's nothing like DM. We have quite a stable at RB this season.

I'd say Mapps is as fast, but not much faster than Martin... It may be an illusion because he is smaller, shifty.

DeMyron is more of a power back and you can not honestly look at Mapp's built and tell me he is a power back. He is a pure speed back. He uses his quickness very well, he just needs to hold on to the ball

I said this summer Mapps was going to be a GOOD back. I hope the coaches will try to get him outside more next week with some option. The guy has great vision, ability to cut back and find the holes. If he can catch, he could really be dangerous when defenses try certain blitz packages.

Mapps is completely different. Whereas Martin runs through guys, Mapps makes everyone miss. Yes, the game was a rout, but the fumbles need to stop. However, getting more than 100 yards from your third RB? NICE!

I thought that was the most impressive thing since Ark St. didn't pull their starters and they and everyone in the stadium knew we were running yet he still pulled off those big runs. He isn't DM but he is a great change-up
