Someone (maybe BRStang?) said Lester Ricard (Tulane's QB) got knocked out of the game.
Anyone know if it's serious? Never wish an injury on a guy, of course .... but Ricard is pretty good.

Looks like he orginially injured it the week before, vs. Miss. State. From the Times-Picayune:

Ricard aggravated the shoulder injury suffered near the end of last week's 32-29 victory over Mississippi State. Against Mississippi State, Ricard was driven into the turf, leaving him sore and unable to raise his throwing arm after the game.

Against LSU, the injury came with Ricard in the pocket looking for a receiver when he was tackled by Jackson. Ricard was sacked twice in the first half by the Tigers.

How long will he be out? He's a BIG part of their team.

John DeShazier
Weary Wave ready for its homecoming
Sunday, September 24, 2006
John DeShazier:

"I got hit on it four plays straight," said Ricard, who stressed he won't miss the next game. "(Scelfo) just didn't want me to aggravate the injury more than it was. I could have gone back out and finished the drive."

How the injury actually plays into Saturday's game against SMU won't be known until game time. Revealing the extent of it -- if, indeed, there's more to it than what has been said -- is the last thing Scelfo is going to do for the Mustangs.

i saw some highlights and even if tulane didint get many guys injured, the more powerful lsu team beat up on the green wave all night. a loss like that is hard to come back from....its kinda of like when we played a&m last year and came back and lost to tulane because our players were so beat up, even though actual injuries were a minumum.
