Who's Hot ...

SMU QB Justin Willis
There hasn't been a hotter quarterback in the country over the last three weeks than the redshirt freshman after completing 46 of 62 passes (74%) for 511 yards and ten touchdowns with two interceptions to go along with a rushing touchdown against North Texas, Sam Houston State, and Arkansas State. The highlight was a brilliant 18-of-19, 248-yard, five touchdown pass, one rushing score performance in the 45-14 win over Sam Houston State.

Ah, my dream of a SMU quarterback being mentioned in the same breath as the Central Michigan / Eastern Michigan rivalry has finally been realized.

Willis deserves all of the praise he is getting, as he has done a wonderful job managing the offense with DeMyron out. Our O-Line gave him plenty of time to throw against Arkansas State, and hopefully he will be able to hang in the pocket a little longer in the future.

This is my first post by the way. I have been a "lurker" for a long time and thought I would finally join the fracas.

See you in NO on Saturday!
