Knights simply handed this game to Southern Miss with a big red ribbon.

I received the following email at work today:

I found out that they are giving away tickets to the UCF v. Southern Miss college football game tonight. If anyone else is interested in attending the game for free just click the link below.

We need to pack the Citrus Bowl for our nationally televised ESPN game tonight! UCF is giving out free ticket to the game over at ticketmaster.com... Link to Event <http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0D003CF8E017F56F?artistid=836127&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=8>

Go down to the "special offer" section and pick up to 6 tickets. Where it says "Enter special code or password" put in WINUCF (all caps).

Considering that UCF is where Orsini came from, I wonder if SMU might employ the same strategy to fill Ford on Halloween? My family and I plan on being at the game and are trying to round up some of our classmates from the mid nineties. My hunch is that the SMU athletic department is not in the business of giving away tickets, but wonder if sales are slow whether they might consider this option. Does anyone know if there is anything planned for the kiddos on the Boulevard?

USM will win the east, and maybe CUSA

Postby Sam I Am » Tue Sep 26, 2006 11:53 pm

USM has won the CUSA four times and is headed that way again. They will surely win the East and be in the CUSA title game. So who is going to win the west? Us?

I'm planning on bringing my Blue Jack-O-Lantern to the game. The should have Boo-levard contests like they did for the Tulane game last year. Best costumes, best decorations, best Halloween-style food, etc.

They should make everything very appealing to families. It would be a smart idea drawing the community in, at least to the Boulevard, as a safe Halloween option for kids.

I don't know about giving away tickets to anybody and everybody, but I think that massive ticket giveaways to the high schools, middle schools, elementary schools (students, parents, and teachers) would be a great idea. Make the stadium look more full and would probably make a lot of money on concessions.
