Tulane game-watching party?

Postby PonyPride » Sun Sep 24, 2006 7:04 pm

Suggestions?

Fox & Hound cleared out the top lounge area for us last year -- good times, except for the refs (er .... outcome) in the Marshall game.

Other suggestions? Pluckers doesn't do much for me. First & 10?

I was at the Fox and Hound for the Marshall game last year, was pretty nice to get the crow's nest all to ourselves. Whoever set that up, do it again!

Wish I could go to the game but have too much work going on. Would love to get away to a watching party though. Lets put something together.

EVERYONE should come down for the game--c'mon--make it a two for one--LSU/Miss. St. in the morning and SMU/Tulane in the afternoon. Let me know if you're interested and you need help getting tix for LSU. Baton Rouge is only 6 and a half hour from Dallas, and new orleans is only an hour east. HAVE FUN, LIVE LIFE and COME WATCH THE STANGS IN NEW ORLEANS!

I vote for Fox & Hound.
Who arranged that last year, clearing out that upper-level room?

NYC Mustangs: Got this in an email yesterday. I commend the SMUNYC alumni association for putting this together, I am flabbergasted. I will try to make it by the end of the 4th quarter, as I have a music gig downtown. It's a shame, too, because this bar is less than a block from where I live. Raplh has no excuse, however...

What: Tulane vs. SMU Football Viewing Party

Info: Join alumni from Tulane and SMU to watch the first college football game in the Superdome since Hurricane Katrina. We will be watching the nationally televised game at Aces & Eights Saloon on 1st Ave btwn 87th and 88th St. Drink and specials include 2 for 1 on all drinks until 9, $10 all you can drink domestic beer or $20 domestic beer and well drinks from 9-midnight, and free snacks during the game. Other food items are available for order. Aces and Eights has a number of projection screen and plasma tvs for your viewing pleasure. If you cannot make it out to the party, the game will be televised on College Sports TV (CSTV).

I also like Fox & Hound (the one off LBJ).

Can't call from work (it's as quiet as a morgue at my office) -- can someone call F&H and see if they'll reserve that upper level for a bunch of PonyFans?

There also was talk of something called "Texas Pubhouse" (what/where is that?), and now SMU has announced a game-watching party at Plucker's, but their food his weak. Sounds like there will be more than one.

Anyone else up for Fox & Hound? Someone please call them!

I was going to call Fox and Hound but ended up backing out when there was talk of the Pubhouse thingy....but still not sure about that place or if it is going to be some kind of private party for the alumni association or what.....

Would hate to call F and H and get a room reserved and only 5 people show up.
