Great Sign of Improvement

We won a road game, and the comments on this board are generally unhappy with the quality of the play. That is a good sign we are getting better and the SMU community has higher expectations for his program then they used to - both of which are good things.

I would add that we:

- won on the road
- won a conference game
- fell behind late, and came back
- were poised
- Justin is getting better and more experienced
- Despite needing to handle a no-huddle offense, the defense was strong for the most of the game, especially in stopping the run.
- Special teams continue to be a strength.

Listened on the internet and had fun following the game from the Heartland. Go Ponies!

:D

P.S. What out for Rice. Their victory at West Point was impressive. They appear to be getting stronger each week.

I have not seen Rice since week 1 vs UH but they looked pretty darn good in that opener, they hung with UCLA on the road, and they ran Army right off the field yesterday. They are not a gimme game for any team in CUSA as far as I am concerned.

Just accross the way in Houston UH is looking pretty darn good. They lost at Miami yesterday by a point in a game where their own mistakes absolutely killed them, not the Hurricanes. People can say all they want that this is a down year for Miami but their two losses were to Florida St. and Louisville. I would venture to say both of those teams will finish among the top 15 in the nation this season. Also, Miami had top 10 recruiting classes in 02, 03, 04, and 05 with their 06 recruiting class finishing at 14th per Rivals. So I cannot be convinced that Miami's talent is just severly worse than it has been in the past. UH is the real deal and if SMU could knock them off again this season, it will be a very big win for us.

Yes we all do. The server or the program needs some attention and I'm sure SmooPower will attend to it as soon as someone connected with the server is available. As you are aware, crap always seems to happen on the week-end when no one is available to help.
