Yes, I would agree Stallion is like CJ. You can see it now with CJ's recent commetns. Stallion has been upbeat and positive when good things happen for SMU. It just hasn't happened that often.

![]() OH, don't fuel Stallion's attempt to be anonymous. I think it is chicken that he/she/it won't let anyone know who they are. The rest of us are having a great time getting to know one another, while he/she/it has to be a mystery.

To my knowledge he has never tried to hide his idenity.
Let us all work together for the good of the glorious motherschool.
I have met Mr. James on a few occasions and he loves his alma mater . . . just enough to make sure that his son does not consider going here and that when we do well, he will back us... He is bandwagon just like many other SMU "fans"
Sports, and all that implies.
Read the posts after our NTSU loss, I suspect that many of those criticizng CJ had their panties in a wad for a whole week after that game. I don't like losing and I understand why we are at a competitive disadvantage. I also am honest enough to say, "we stink" when we stink. Right now we've risen above stink and up to mediocrity. We still could lose to just about anyone as shown by our loss to NTSU. But we also could beat some better teams as well. I don't like mediocrity either, but right now, it looks pretty good compared to sucky.
I suspect James's biggest issue is that SMU has sustained stinky for the better part of the last twenty years, and maybe with 7 games in this season left he's just not ready to move SMU up to mediocre just yet. Hard to blame him if that is the case. Since history forms the basis of my frustrations with my alma mater's athletic programs, I'll defer until history judges this season as well. In the meantime, I'll continue to be pleasantly surprised every time we win, and continue to hope that we win every time we play.
Unlike most of us, Craig James could have done something to change the equation of SMU Football, if he cared as much as some of you say. Has he been lobbying to change "the model" like Stallion has. If so, I don't think any of us heard of it, and he didn't do a very good job, beacuse it took bennett to start making that happen. It is a lot easier for folks like Craig James to make smart remarks than actually do anything for the program.

True - my point being that Craig James has a little more weight than Stallion (no pun intended). He is also just a tad more high profile than Stallion except at Red River where I understand Stallion is King.
