3rd and 5 SMU at the Mustang 35. So here we go. Need this one. Slater back to throw....throws it and INTERCEPTED. God dang it. He could've run it for the first down but threw it into triple coverage. And UTEP gets it back once again.

1st and 10 UTEP from the Mustang 40. 50 seconds to go in the half. Palmer under center...back to throw..tosses and it and it is incomplete Thank God.

2nd and 10 UTEP from the Mustang 40. 36 seconds to go in the half. UGH can we play use Willis in the 2nd half?!!? We can still win this! Palmer to throw it again and finally some presusre but he gets away. And gets about a yard. Damn it.

3rd and 9 UTEP from the Mustang 39. 28 seconds to go in the half. Palmer tot hrow....Tosses it and it is incomplete.

4th and 9 UTEP from the Mustang 39. 22 seconds to go in the half. SMU defense has played well since Rogers has gone down. UTEP to punt. And it is....a good punt and it's down at the 3 yard line. But there is a flag. 12.8 to go in the half.

Illegal block on SMU and 1st down SMU. At about the 1.5 yard line.

this game was over before it started. they should just head for the plane and forget the second half. there was NOTHING in that first half to indicate we'll have anything but a big goose egg for a final score.

we are a train wreck.

Take away the punt return by Higgins, and 10 to 0 at half is not all that bad considering how bad they have played.

Very true. That's was an embarassing half for us. We should be down by twice this. Thankfully 17 is something we can overcome, something Tulane proved last week. ...Not saying it'll happen though.

We are still in this. A little PB table tumping, towel throwing, chair tossing, and cussing should revitalize us for the second half.
