I wish I knew all the facts, but until then I have to go with my gut, and my gut notes that as long as I've been following the Mustangs the Administration has bent over backwards to overreact to everything to make it absolutely clear to the NCAA (which doesn't care) and everyone else just how good we're behaving.

We'll probably never get the full story, so I'm going on that assumption.

When it is all said and done, the team needs to refocus on the seasons and show what a great team they really are. This team has more potential than I have seen in a long time. GO MUSTANGS!!! Make us proud, no matter who is the QB

I know that he has to answer to them on a day to day basis, but if there are no charges let Justin Willis do what the school has him here for, play football. The administration is not being paid to make football decisions, leave that to the professionals. Besides what could they really be worried about? They have the money to fight this in court
grow some balls???? PB doesnt make all decisions... there's a chain of command. and PB isn't at the top. i want jwill to play but this might not be up to PB especially if he has violated SMU's honor code.. so to say he PB needs to grow some is just ignrant

Who says he's gone for the season?

Coach Bennett didn't say anything to suggest Willis will or won't be back next week. He just got through coaching his tail off with a very short-handed team and damn-near won another conference game on the road against a team that was hell-bent on revenge after last year. UTEP would have put up 100 if they could have, but our guys played like their lives depended on it. I never thought I'd be proud of the guys after a loss (in a game I didn't even see), but dammit, I am.

Here's hoping Justin Rogers is OK and feels better right away.

Amen. This team has everything it needs to go make it to a bowl and maybe even a conference championship. Still 6 games to go in the season. No reason we can't make this a successful year.

If that's addressed to me (or not), I completely agree with you, I've only been a 'stang since my freshman year in '96 (although I did get that nice winning season in 97 to watch...)

GOOD GRIEF ! ! ! No wonder we don't have a unified fan base. How dare you talk to anyone on this board that way. No one on this board suspended Willis. Call the adminstration and talk to them this way, but NOT TO US ! ! !

If it weren't for the "glory years SOB's" as you call them, the stands at Ford would be VERY VERY EMPTY. They are the ones paying the bills while the rest of us wait for the "program" to return.

Also agree with this, it's amazing we have as many dedicated old timers as we do with how we've played this past decade+

(previous agreement was in reference to not killing the season over a fight)

Guess what....I and the other 10 post death penalty die-hards are sick of losing and sick of hearing from a bunch of sunshiners how great we used to be....how many times do we need to burn our hands on the stove when we have NEVER won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I blame the University higher ups. Not my fellow fans (although those that have shown unquestioning support today for the suspension baffle me somewhat)

If the University is assisting in any sort of investigation, then that means that PB and the team will have to wait until the University puts down a verdict on Willis

That mite take a week or two knowing how bad the University is when it comes to handling matters like this.
