Thats exactly right. If the popo get involved its inevitably more serious. That being said, look at those student code of conduct sections. Unless this becomes more than simple assault, expulsion is not even a disciplinary option.

I may be splitting hairs here, but I think from what I have read, the police did not respond, but rather the alleged vicitm went to the police. If so, it is conceivable that several FB players saw the young man slip on a bar of soap.
