Marshall is on ESPN.com's 'waiting list' with a 1-4 record.
I know that I previously said records and rankings mean nothing but this game is a MUST WIN for us and I dont see us losing this game.

throw out Marshall's losses to Tennessee, West Virgina and K-State and toss out our wins against Sam Houston State Monument and Arkansas Tech and basically you have two very similar teams. SMU should be slightly favored at home if Willis were playing. Without him this is a jump ball.

I can not totally agree with this. Every September loss weighs on your confidence and every September win bolsters your confidence, so I do not think the throwing out of games is a legitimate balance. On that basis I give us a slight edge. The line has dropped to 4 and that is probably a fair line without Willis. I think it would be about 7 or 8 with Willis. Now, will we win, that remains to be seen.

I believe beating up on WhatsamatterU is simply a mirage which will eventually be exposed for the joke that it is.

But it beats the heck out of getting beat up by WhatsamatterU, or rather TakeurpickU as we had for the past several years. Next year we get back to real teams, so I have no problem with this year.

Just win, no matter who you play, when you play, or where you play!
Sports, and all that implies.

Having watched Marshall play on TV against UCF, I don't agree. We can beat this team. We should beat this team. It will be another test of this team’s character to overcome adversity (injuries and Willis).

You throw out enough games you are going to find that we all end up with the same record.
That said, we should be able to handle the Herd this year, especially playing at Ford. The loss of Willis and possibly Muse and Rogers has made this a much closer game but still would be an upset for us to lose this one.

Oh please, throw out K state. They got stomped by Baylor and have beaten whom? A bad OK St?
Ark St. is 3-2. Just because we pasted them does not mean they are trash.
Stallion is being rather biased here.
The fair comments are that it is going to be tough with out some key players.
Marshall's losses are not that excusable and our wins are not that trivial.
Go Ponies!! Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad

Maybe some of you should go see what the line was against Ark. St. I believe it was 3, and then we proceeded to demolish them worse than SHSU. Line means squat. We can demolish this team as well, and I have faith that we will.
