Texas Tech 35-3 L
North Texas 24-6 L
Sam Houston St. 45-14 W
Arkansas St. 55-9 W
Tulane 33-28 W
UTEP 24-21 L

I'm not here to talk smack, due to us being down this year. You guys throwing a little smack around after backing it on this schedule, is pretty weak ... sorry. Good luck on Saturday.

PS ... For those who were asking "what is a Marshall"? I have a question ... who is North Texas, Sam Houston St and Arkansas St? Are those 1-AA schools?
GO HERD!!!

Buddy, leave. Nobody here has time for you or your Marshall buddies. Any other week, we'd be more hospitable. Let us wallow in the despair of not knowing about our quarterback.

I don't care who you are -- keep your tongue in your mouth when you are an underdog to a team who is going to probably be missing 2 star defensive players and a backup quarterback, who also average barely over 300 ypg. Hopefully you guys open up your checkbooks, because the refs are your only chance of winning...again.

I definately think Arkansas State would beat UCF this year as well.

Byron Leftwich is my fantasy QB. Yup.. he still sucks. I hate you Marshall. I hate you and I will celebrate with a 6 pack of Newcastle when I watch you lose to our backup QB on SMU All-Access.

UNT is not a 1-AA team and neither is stAte.

i'd take Jerry Levias and McIlhenry any day of the week over Moss and Leftwich.

sum greats from each team.

I will go ahead and say Marshall ranks nowhere near SMU in producing football talent in terms of quality and quantity.

Personally, their best talent to come out in the last decade or two had to fall into their lap. Shoulda, coulda, woulda been a Seminole.

Beyond that, the best players the Marshall Thundering Herd have on their team is the refs.

I HAVE TO DISAGREE on that one. I am just looking at the NFL and Marshall produces some great talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

How many NFL hall of famers do they have?

I give credit where credit is due: Marshall is not a dry pool of talent and never will be.

That aside, it's not worth the effort to compare.

None that I know of but when time comes, RANDY MOSS will be an NFL HOFer.

Haha, I found this humorous. I took it off a website for children -- what a message to send out.

(We, from a University that graduated 100% of its football players last year, can laugh.)

While Moss loved playing football, he didn't really like the academics of college. He left Marshall after two years and was drafted in the first round of the 1998 NFL draft Randy Moss by the Minnesota Vikings.

This was posted on his biography from a Kid'z World website I found through google, shortly after talking about how he got in a fight and lost his schollie to Notre Dame.

You mean they punished Randy Moss for getting in a fight by removing his scholarship!!!!! I thought we were the only university in the country that punished our players from all the rhetoric on this board.

As an aside, I know absolutely nothing about the situation with Randy Moss and Notre Dame.
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

I think the story goes that he was defending a friend and punched out some kid. Notre Dame pulled his scholly when they saw this... I think he got hosed bad.

I don't know enough about it to conjecture why no other school in America would offer him.

Even if he slugged some kid, he is still a tremendous athlete and it was NDs lost and Marshalls gain.
