Peterson out for season

Postby J.T.supporta » Sat Oct 14, 2006 3:28 pm

Oklahoma running back and Heisman hopeful Adrian Peterson will miss the rest of the season after breaking his collarbone Saturday. Coach Bob Stoops hopes Peterson can return for a bowl game.

Very HUGE loss for the Sooner Nation. After Bomar took money, now AD broke his collarbone. Looks like AD will come back next year for a shot at that coveted Heisman.

Ouch. Looks like he hurt himself on a "show off" dive into the end zone after a great run

Yeah. Petersons run styling will change after what I consider a "fluke" injury.

Could be a blessing in disguise for AD. He will have a much improved line next year and better shot at the Heisman. However their QB situation will still be a problem.

VERY TRUE. They were saying that he might just heal up and get ready for the Draft this year.

I'm not a Sooner fan, but I don't wish anyone ill health. I enjoy watching him run and am sorry that it happened.

AD is a hell of a football player. This is too bad any way you look at it.

First Bomar then a loss to the 'Horns and now this. They're lucky TCU wasn't on the schedule this year, too!

Best wishes on a speedy recover, AP.
