Re: POLL: Your Profession?
CPA and CFO of $40M+ revenue per year company.
I can appreciate all the attorneys on board.
During our last 4 years, we have incurred over $1M of legal fees. $500k for M&A and $500k to defend ourselves against three frivolous lawsuits.
Assuming the litigating party also spent ~$500k, that is $1M in legal fees for which the final settlement in two of those cases was $0, with the third one pending.
It has become an all to unfortunate fact about doing business in America. You pay the legal piper.
And for N&C, good luck. Hopefully you have owned a home in Southern California for over 4 years. If so, you are way ahead of the game.

Navy&Crimson. Don't kid yourself about gray davis. To place all the blame on him shows you probably don't understand the dynamics of the ca legislature and state constitution. Granted, he's been no wizard, but no one at this time would be looking good in that office. Meanwhile...

Re: POLL: Your Profession?
Almost embarassed after reading Ponyte and Arkpony from my same area being a pulmonary specialist and Circuit judge respectively, to say that I am a 30 year bank veteran. Two things help me with my profession, however, one... I work with providing housing for low income, first time home buyers (very rewarding), and secondly...Hayden Fry told me in 1972 that he felt I had a banker personality and I should perhaps try that as a profession. I think he meant that as a compliment and not as a reflection on my football ability.
