Well the game is at 2 and Dish does carry CSTV but I believe the geme is only available on CSTV ALL-ACCESS VIDEO on line. It is not on the TV schedule unfortunatelyas far as I can tell.

Doesn't Pluckers (Dallas) project the game from a computer to a big screen TV...I know I watched the Houston game last year that way...

Are they still doing this on non-televised games?

I would imagine if SMU could ever get strong fan support (relative to Ford Stadium that would be 20-25,000 a game) I could see getting the school to broadcast the game on the Big Screen in the stadium. They could open up some concessions, and if not illegal BYOB. I would make the trip from Little Rock on occasion to see an away game in that manner if it could ever be done.

Any progress on a game watching venue in the greater Dallas area?

Yes, we need a game watching party. I was not in Dallas for the last one on Greenville but I hear it was a great time.

Plus, I want to take a JagrBomb with you MM65.

      I'm still recovering from the Tulane game!

See the other thread about a game watching location. I've got a call in to Plucker's right now to see if they're setting up for Saturday's game.

Wow! Could you imagine SMU actually opening up Ford and showing the game on Mustang Vision. I am sure the attendance would not be that great but all they would need to do is serve drinks and dogs and allow anybody that wants to bring their own spread. Remember doing that at Arlington Stadium to see Nolan Ryan's 3000th win and had a great time.

Not to be a gloomy gus but has anyone watched a game under this format there before? As anyone that has watched games on the computer knows, the quality is not great, good but not great, and it diminishes as the screen gets bigger. If there is a glare on the screen or the room is too light, I can see major problems.

Also, because it is sometimes hard to follow the action, sound is a must, do they have the sound on and audible?

And my final thought: Technology is a fickle mistress, she tends to wander in and out and is sometimes broke. Technical glitches do happen. Now, if I am at home, I am damn sure motivated to tackle any problem that arises, be it on my end or CSTVs end. If something breaks or doesn't work at Pluckers, they may not have the same motivation or expertise to spend the time to fix it.

I would love to watch the game in a party atmosphere with other SMUers but this makes me nervous. I have visions of us sitting in our cars in the Pluckers parking lot with a warm six pack and wing sauce on our pants listening on the radio.

I would think even with collossal technical problems, Pluckers can at least pipe in the radio broadcast. That should keep the sauce off your pants and on the wings.
