Saw this got posted on the 'tube today. Only posting it as I've never SMU highlights from this era. Plus it's good karma for tomorrow ... yes, that's it.

I hate that. I just hate it... man somehow I can't help myself when that game is on. I have to watch... you know. Just in the vein hope that BYU doen't come back to win. Though the last time I watched it - I forced myself to turn it off after the final CJ touchdown. I had a sigh of relief... ahh we won, nice! And that was that.

Thanks! I've heard about it, but never seen it. That reminds me of something I did witness, the Oilers blowing a lead to the Bills. Also known as the the biggest choke in the history of the NFL. Glad we have that designation for the NCAA.

I was 14 and watched the game in the living room of my family home in Lake Highlands. When McMahon threw the winning pass for BYU, I was so angry I rushed outside and tore down the nearest stop sign. That game hurt.
