Houston is a good team whose Defense is about as bad as ours. There last 3 games have been losses at Miami, at home vs ULALA, and at Southern Miss by a combined 8 points. I think they win today giving them still only 1 loss in CUSA play. One thing is for sure, you will see a shoot-out between Utep and UH tonight. Defensive minded fans hide your eyes for this one!

UH won, Tulsa is winning 21-7 in the 3rd, Marshall beat UAB, and Rice beat UCF.

It's pretty much official, now...with that UH win, we have to beat them and we can only give away one more game at the most to make a bowl. There is no way Houston loses 3 more games with its remaining schedule. At most, they lose to us and Tulsa.

That means: USM and either ECU or UAB will go from C-USA east; And Tulsa, UTEP and Houston should go at least 7-5, so our only chance is to beat Houston, and two other teams. If we beat Houston and are 7-5 like they are, we will (more than likely) get the nod over them. Otherwise, we're SOL.

UAB is a stretch now, they are 3-5... they have to go 3-1 just to get eligible. They still have to play SMU, UTEP, USM, and UCF. They'll have to pull off some upsets to go 3-1.

Tulsa is dominating Memphis tonight. It's 35-14 early in the 4th. They still have the entire West to play (including at UH and at SMU). Either of which they COULD lose. They are definitely the favorites though.

UTEP's defense may be their undoing. They probably lose to Tulsa next week. Then their schedule gets easier playing Rice, UAB, Marshall, and Memphis. I see an upset or two in there.

Houston plays UCF, SMU, Tulsa, and Memphis. That's a pretty medium schedule left. 2-2 or 3-1. I hope it's 2-2.

USM, barring meltdowns of Houston proportion, should win the East.

ECU still has USM, UCF, Marshall, Rice, and NC State. They will probably go 3-2. Putting them at 6-6.

We definitely have to bring it for the rest of the year. We dug ourselves a hole, but we aren't pushing up the daisies yet.
