A thread on "The Natural", SMU and ECU

Admittedly, this is off the charts but I'm throwing it out there anyway because it fits our feelings after Saturday's result.

In the 1984 classic baseball movie, there is a scene before Roy Hobbs arrives. The New York Knights are playing Pittsburgh and losing. The Knights pitcher is struggling with his command.

Wilford Brimley's character, manager Pop Fisher, screams at his pitcher..."DON'T YOU KNOW I HATE LOSING TO THE PIRATES!!"

Oh my God, Big 10, that is so uncanny the relation to "The Natural", SMU and ECU. It reminds me of something I heard once: "I hate losing". In fact, I heard it after almost every SMU game over the last 17 years. Isn't that uncanny too?
