Hold your breath this weekendI am always worried with an open weekend that give the kids a chance to party on Saturday night a little longer than normal. Hopefully the coaches will have plenty of things for the players to do on Saturday to keep them occupied. Of course this Saturday is the equivalent of a Wednesday in a normal week so they should be putting in some hard work at practice. Sure do not want any more suspensions the rest of the year.
Curfew will be in effect this weekend. We will know if anyone breaks it because they will not be playing Tuesday. From what I hear, Bennett is really putting his foot down and is having seniors call underclassman to make sure they are in their room/apt.
Course, they could still go out on the town if they set up the Ferris Bueller doorbell recording system on their phones: "Oh, I'm sorry. I can't come (speak for long on the) to the door (phone) right now. I'm afraid that in my weakened (conserving my body for the game) condition, I could take a nasty spill down the stairs (out of my dorm room) and subject myself to further school absences (missed practices). You can reach my parents (coaches) at their places of business. Thank you for stopping by (calling). I appreciate your concern for my well-being. Have a nice day!"
3 a.m. Remember: Fall back, spring forward.
That's kinda like having the short timer (senior) inmates supervise lockdown at night. ![]() Bennett didn't have a lockdown the night before traveling to UTEP ![]()
