I wonder if ESPN was originally planning on doing a double-header for the night. It seems like that would be a feasible excuse. If they had gotten a west coast team to play after our game, it would have made for a good Halloween programming schedule. That way, dads (or moms) could watch the games while waiting for trick-or-treaters to come by. At least, that's what would've made sense. I don't think Quite Frankly and NFL's greatest games makes for a good lineup. Maybe they just couldn't get tcu to play a Tuesday night game after so many Thursday night games.
the game DOES start at 7:30 - for the majority of this country's population that lives in eastern time zone and will constitute the majority of the TV audience. I know the 6:30 start won't help our already well chronicled attendance woes
Well with the early start on a work/school day I would think the attendance will max out some time in the second quarter and then shrink somewhat after about the middle of the third quarter. I don't see many midweek games, but most of the ones I have seen don't have full stadiums. The people who watch these games on TV want to see the game not how many people are in the stands.
