I'm watching the replay here in Cali, and he is espousing the greatness of the campus and Bennett, 3:10 left in the game. Get over the James bashing, he is a great alum.

James sucks, and those last 3:15 don't make up for the fact that he treated the game as a joke. Go back and listen, all he did was critize players and make jokes at our expense. I had many SMU and non SMU fans over to watch the game and the people from other schools could not believe what a [deleted] James is.

The game was a joke. Very conservative and boring. James was very positive about SMU. Said we should dominate CUSA, the school and education were great, and and he and Flutie made several side comments about the sorority girls. You folks with the hate James fetish need to appreciate the positive statements he made about our program last night. The critical comments on the program and the on field play were all justified and warranted. Bennett praised James after the game also. You do not have to like him, but last night was a positive night for the James/SMU relationship. The biggest problem I had with the broadcast was the constant plugging of the Thursday night game and the BCS argument. Even Mack Brown in his interview said he would not comment on the Thursday game because he could tell they only wanted to talk about it for promotional purposes.

Speaking of Mac Brown, I understand the human interest angle, but it really fried me that the brought in the UT coach on our night in the sun. But Watson Brown will be on his staff next year.

They had to get in Mack Brown's recruiting pitch in case that one 2 star recruit wants to go to SMU.
Craig James is king.

I really believe ESPN uses these midweek games primarily to promote their weekend schedule-its the only way these games make any real economic sense. The world ain't clamoring to watch SMU, UCF, Akron or Westerm Michigan. That's part of the bargain.
