Willis threw an ill-advised INT (aren't they all?)

Willis fumbled twice. Warren and Sanders (I think) fumbled, too.

SMU had ONE drive in the third quarter because UAB drove .... slow.

A 15-yard facemask call kept a UAB drive alive when we had them dead in the water.

Kick coverage was poor - at best.

Virtually no return game.

AND WE WON! Three years ago, we'd lose this game by 30. Tonight, we got a big conference win, on national TV. Way to go, Ponies!

you forgot the 4 off-side calls on SMU's TD drive including one on a FG attempt which gave SMU a second chance.

That's true -- those were big. Those "freeze" plays drive me nuts, because I'm always afraid the refs will disagree and Willis will get killed. But those are working, too.

Can we discuss the utter BS of that face mask call though??? If anything, he got it swiped not yanked to the ground so it was a 5 yarder not a 15...that call just sucked

Going back to the Rice and Houston fumbles of last season, Blake Warren has me holding me breath on every punt. What is up with all of the fumbles?

I think that the personal foul for running into the punter was the worst call of the game. First, that should have been a 5 yard at best. Second, the defender pulled him down into the punter. It shouldn't have been a call at all. It offset in the end, but if they made the correct NON CALL, then it would have been 15 yards in field position.
