Well done, Mustangs!
last night was good to get a win on national tv, but we didnt not show the country our best game...
Maybe we weren't playing SHSU, or Arkie State

This is just plain stupid. UAB's a good team who we beat by 13 points. Did we play our best game? No. But we did what it took to get the W.

I agree, it was an ugly win, but I will take it over a loss any day.

Ponyboy, you are right, we won...but, it was hard to watch..we are not that good. I am having trouble getting all cranked up when I watch these guys, realize we have the #105 toughest schedule in the land, yet we are barely 5-4, would be ranked #18 in D-12A, and notice that Willis has a real weak arm, we have zero O-line suppoert, did I mention we lost to NTSU..what have they doen since.....just trying to prepare myself for the blue jeans and plaid shirt on Christmas morning versus the Tonka truck....BEAT UH!!

Why do you not try to cheer up by realizing that at least you are not a Memphis fan this year.

I do not think Willis has a weak arm but rather he chooses to throw a catchable ball. That is part of the reason he has such a high completion percent. On the pick I think he did not see the defender in between or it would not have been thrown like that.
He fired the ball during the 2 point conversion and it went through the hands of the intended receiver.
Go Ponies!! Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad

You would never know if Willis has a weak arm or not because the play calling does not allow him to throw the ball for longer than 5 yards.

His high completion rate is due partly, or mostly to the fact that 3/4ths. of the time, he is running for his life and throws a little dump off pass....his pass / yards v. uab was 8. Sort of like the Jason Wolfe all time receptions record, where he averaged 9 ypc. Tolbert avg. 16, LeVias 15.....BEAT UH / Tulsa / Rice!!

Willis is about to break the school TD record for a QB.

Screw it, bench him. Time to see what Eric Johnson's got.

Ford to T, I agree that they played awful on Tuesday . . .but to say that we suck . . . that is just wrong. Did you watch a game when we went 0-12?? or 3-8?? That was crap . . scoring 10-12 points a game . . .that is when you can say "we suck". UAB is not a good team by any means, but a win on national TV is still a win on national TV. The O-line is leaps and bounds ahead of where they should be, the defense played the way they were supposed to against a poor passing offense and a large, immobile offensive line.
To say that J-Will has a weak arm, I agree on the interception he threw it was poorly underthrown . . . but I cannot even remember us going downfield (over 20 yards) with any regularity (part of the game plan perhaps to beat them short)
maybe too much sunshine on a cloudy day . . but we won!! enjoy it!
Sports, and all that implies.

I am glad we won, great W.....but, just throwing some reality / opinions back at 'ya....Willis, nice young man, about to break some records, good for him...but, it is just a tad bit hard for me to compare his #'s v. SAM / NTSU / UAB, when guys like Hixson were setting records vs. Ohio State, in Columbus (417 yards v. OSU in 1968), etc., etc.....also, with all due respect to the boys, who fight hard, I guess I am having a struggle with the FACT that I have waited 20+ years to see a quasi mediocore squad go 6-6 and to the NO Bowl.....BEAT UH / TULSA / RICE!!
