Student section expanded at Ford

In response to the overwhelming attendance at last Tuesday's football game against UAB, the SMU athletic department announced they will open up seats near the 50-yard line for students to sit in.
Associate Athletic Director for Media Relations Brad Sutton said per Conference USA rules, the first fifteen rows of sections 123 and 124 will be reserved for season ticket holders, but the remaining rows would be open to students who want to sit closer to the middle of the field.
Sutton said the athletic department was impressed with the turnout at the last home game that it wants to encourage students to continue coming to games. He added he hopes students who attend this weekend's homecoming game will stay for the whole game, not just until the homecoming court is announced.

I'm liking these 50 yard line seats. Keep 'em coming and I will continue to be unable to talk the next day.

In case you are interested, here is the email sent to students:
As a representative of the athletic department, let me again thank you for your outstanding support of your Mustang football team last Tuesday. As a result of the great outpouring of support, we will continue to have student seating in sections 123 & 124, near midfield, along with your traditional section of 122. To comply with Conference USA rules, we won't be able to seat you in the first 15 rows of 123 & 124, but will instead fill those rows with SMU season ticket holders. These better seats will keep you closer to the action and will allow you to continue to provide a tremendous home field advantage for your Mustangs as we move closer to our goals of a conference championship and a post-season bowl berth.
Thanks again and GO MUSTANGS!

At the UAB those sections were ROCKEN
My wife and I along with three young girls had fun. All were screaming and yelling for our MUSTANGS.
One point to make.
Why do we not have TV's in the TV spots out in the concourse?
Did they get stolen? We need to spend a grand and get some TV's.

I thought it was the noise being made by the fans.
That need to be fixed. NOW
It needed to be fixed in 2000. At homecoming they set up speakers on the field for the student section during halftime. They out to set those speakers up on the top row behind the student section every game and patch the PA feed into them. I am sure it would be hard to do, but it needs to happen.

Thats how I knew I was old, married, and boring - I remember seeing a 20 yr old hot Kappa in a very permiscuous outfit and the first thing I thought was........ "man, she has got to be cold!".........shoot me.
