Shouldn't the Pimps and Hoes theme be for this weekend against UofH? ;)

Probably, but Tulsa spelled backwards is A SLUT.

Did he really say that? If so, bravo!

I thought it was the noise being made by the fans.

That need to be fixed. NOW

It needed to be fixed in 2000. At homecoming they set up speakers on the field for the student section during halftime. They out to set those speakers up on the top row behind the student section every game and patch the PA feed into them. I am sure it would be hard to do, but it needs to happen.

This year, they have 2 huge speakers in the North endzone-- Im almost positive they weren't there last year... maybe that is their solution.

the UAB game was the first time those were there . . . and it was the worst sound quaility i have heard at an SMU game. No one in our section could hear the PA system, we though maybe it had to do with ESPN's coverage??
Sports, and all that implies.

Not going to work

I can say first hand that there is a problem with this move. For those of you that remember the Navy game a few years back (the one when we lit the endzone grass on fire with the pregame fireworks) I was actually arrested for sitting in those empty first 15 rows. In a move by athletics, just like this one, the students had been ask to move closer to the action, for 5 minutes we sat back while the seats stayed empty. So when we moved down we were told to leave and those of us that wouldn't move were carried off by the HP bacon. If the seats aren't filled by kickoff the students should be on that rail!

Why don't we sell those seats to season ticket holders for $1. We could canvas the frats, sororities and dorms and see who would like to become season ticket holders.

We sat with the students for the UAB game, and I couldn't hear the p.a. system either.

The whole PA system needs redone. It has been bad since Ford opened. I have tickets on the west side of the field. At times you can't understand what is being said and at other time the d.....things are [deleted] the ears.
