I honestly hope Florida gets its shot against OSU, but I suppose I would take ND in the title game. Arkansas doesn't get there because they will lose to LSU  .

You know what's really ridiculous for me is that I'm talking trash on behalf of Arkansas!! I never thought I would ever see myself doing that.

Arkansas Razorbacks to the finish....

We're going to expose JaMarcus Russell for the fraud that he really is!

Pig Sooey! Arkansas has no pass defense, so they better strap it on. It'll be a good game, regardless.

thats why they have the computers analyze all the numbers... And not to mention every poll has USC ranked higher then Arkansas, so I guess the coulda/woulds/shoulda argument for Arkansas doesnt matter

Yeah, I know. But, I suppose you believe SMU would lose to NTSU if we played today. (I bet you never answer that.)

I do think they would... but I think that USC would beat arkansas again, and that Ohio State would beat michigan again...

You SEC fans are something. In your view, USC (and by extension the rest of the Pac-10) are nothing. Ask Auburn if USC is for real. Ask Arkansas if USC is for real. If a team scores 120 points on you in two games (including 50 at YOUR HOUSE), aren't you going to give them SOME credit?

As for playing games over, it doesn't work that way. If Arkansas can play the USC game again, I'm sure USC would play the OSU game again, Cal would play Tennessee again, etc, etc. You can't give one team a break you don't give to everyone else.

If that happens, congratulations.

Look, records are what they are, and I'm not advocating ranking teams by any different system. I do think, however, that the Pac-10 is given way too much credit because of its market. USC has a damn good football team. Damn good. But they consistently have no competition in conference other than Cal, who I think is overrated year after year. "We won 5 straight Pac-10 titles." Yep, you sure did. Play Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas--EVERY YEAR--then come talk to me.

Now that's something different. Many fans of Pac-10 schools feel the league doesn't get enough credit due to an East Coast media bias. (Some feel it is due to the fact the conference doesn't have a contract with ESPN, but that is another matter.) But you claim the conference is given too much credit nationally. Interesting.

BRStang wrote:But they consistently have no competition in conference other than Cal, who I think is overrated year after year.

As Cal was at the bottom of the Pac-10 before Tedford took over, I'm not sure they have been rated very much until the past two or three years.

As for the others; ASU, OSU, UCLA, UO, UW and even WSU have had a very good season or two in the recent history. However, it's tough to have an extended run of success when you play in the same conference as USC. :P

BRStang wrote:"We won 5 straight Pac-10 titles." Yep, you sure did.

Considering that feat was achieved just last night, I doubt USC uses that as a point of bragging. Winning the Pac-10 is their first goal, but not their only goal. 8)

So is the SEC ready to expand to let USC in? Great, I'm looking forward to it. But I'd imagine the Trojans would also get to play such stellar progams as MSU, UK, Vandy and Ole Miss. After all, fair is fair.

I'm still going with my prediction that I said after I found out VY was going to the Draft....WEST VIRGINIA vs. OHIO STATE

Once wvu beats rutgers, lsu beats ark, ark beats florida, usc beats nd, ucla beats usc, the pieces all fall into place for WVU and OSU. no one wants to see a rematch.

Michigan played OSU at OSU within the home field advantage margin. To me they showed that they deserve a shot for the championship on a neutral field. It would be a great game. 8)

So who's "we"? SMU, Minnesota, every other school in the Big 10 or now Hog High? Pick a team!

And since you mentioned it, JaMarcus Russell is going to bring Hog High back to earth. He's a stud.

its not going to happen... with no games left, and arkansas, ND, florida, and USC all have 2 games left to jump in the polls... however it will be tough for ND because of their loss to michigan

Let's look at the Losses and then some of the options:
- Ohio State - IN
Mighigan - 3pt loss to Ohio State that the computers consider a wash with home field thrown in.
Notre Dame - Loss to Michigan
USC - Loss to #37 Oregon State
Florida - Loss to #15 Auburn
Arkansas - Loss to USC - 1st game of the year with 3rd string QB playing. Hogs got screwed by being unranked to start the year.

Florida and Arkansas have to play each other. USC and ND have to play each other. Thus it leaves only 3 legitimate contenders for the matchup with Ohio State. Watch the SEC and either USC or ND get screwed and you will have the most likely chance of getting the damn BCS burned to the ground. Still not sure how deserving Ohio State is. They did not play Wisconsin this year and Texas was breaking in a new Freshamn QB. Still can't figure out why a playoff is such a bad thing.

Michigan had their shot at the national championship this weekend, they don't deserve another one!

I agree 100%--Florida deserves a shot. USC is overrated, though (again).

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

After Arkansas beats crappy Florida, we'll all know who the better team is. God, you SEC people kill me sometimes.
GO MUSTANGS!

FIGHT ON!
