Playing Pee-Wee football in the NorthWest Football league in Calallen, Texas. My first year I was actually a QB. We went undefeated that year. Maybe I should have never changed positions. Go Stangs.

1 was at the game - Bobby also set the record at that time for highest percentage of completions - 88.2% (minimum of 15 completions)

I was at that game - it was my freshman year at SMU and that was my first game. It was also the first of many Southwest Conference road trips for me.

I also remember Bobby Waters completing his first 13 passes and the Mustangs completely steamrolling the Owls.

I was in my freshman year at Sewanee. I was probably drinking beer at the time.

I didn't see the Rice game that year but I saw the last game SMU played before the dp. Arkansas wiped us out. It looked like we didn't even play. It was embarrassing. And it happened to be on my wife's birthday. Needless to say, not the way she wanted to spend her birthday.

I was 5, so I was playing youth soccer and setting scoring records with my ability to boom a ball from one end of the field to the next and eating the most orange slices after the game. Nonetheless, I was as apathetic about Rice then as I am today.

High school sophomore trying to pick up chicks with 80's hair and parachute pants. (Guess how that turned out)
Did go to SMU-A&M game at Texas Stadium that year.
