SMU 34, Rice 28
SMU comes out swinging, scores 14 points in the first 6 minutes and dominates the clock in the first half. Rice starts to mount a comeback in the second half, but Willis & Co. continue to score and score. Defense gets a turnover in the final Rice drive and the SMU offense returns to run out the clock.

I dont care if we win by 1 or 21 as long as we win. This is the single most important game for SMU in 22 years. I know these guys will be up to the challenge and we WILL be going BOWLING in December. GO STANGS.

Hmmmmn....As much as I love our team and want them to win, the fact that Rice is red hot, its a road game, and we haven't won there in 20 years, not to mention the coaches will probably have another lame, conservative game plan:
Rice 35
SMU 27
Edit: It will also depend on the half time score. If we're winning I will be worried because we can't seem to hold onto a lead. I am hoping its close, as in a TD difference.

SMU 37
RICE 31
Rice leads at halftime after we spot them 20 pts per our usual "strategy"
Willis takes over in 2nd half and leads the ponies to a bowl berth!!

Jitters, turnovers by RU keep it close-- conservative play calling by SMU keep it closer.
