Mathew McConaughey

He brought Marshall back didn't he? They had a worse situation than SMU right? He is young, handsome, energetic, great head of hair, and the recruits mothers will welcome him with at least open arms!

How about Charles Durning from North Dallas Forty! He has already been successful in Dallas!

He is a huge UT fan. Often showing up on their bench. He just liked the script for the Marshall film. But he arrived at Marshall wearing his burnt orange.

Get serious! Mathew has college coaching experience, plus he must have picked up some tips being on the UT sideline.

Why? Nobody else on the UT sideline can coach - what's MM going to learn there?
At least the actor who played Dobber is an SMU grad.

Only if he brings in Adam Sandler as an assistant/QB. Hell, he could bring in Irvin and some of the others from the Mean Machine as well...

If we hire Billy Bob Thorton, do you think we would get Booby Miles?

Personally, Henry Winkler gets my vote. He can turn a Waterboy into a star. And at least one SMU alum liked him.
