My opinions:
HOW IN THE WORLD DOES JESSIE GET 2ND TEAM RETURNER. Jesus.

Paul Smith (3rd team) over J-Will...Nice. He throws for 500 more yards with a lower completion percentage and a 15/8 ratio. J-Will goes 26/6. Screw that.

I also think that Morstead as 3rd instead of 2nd was kinda sad. Oh well. The 3rd team kicker went 14/21 or something...There is no way that's much better or better at all than Morstead's stats.

No Brandon Bonds kinda surprised me.

Overall, a lot of SMU representation.[/b]

Henderson was on the bench half the year with a severe case of sand in his ____. Therefore I agree he should NOT be on first team as opposed to a guy who played all year.

Willis is a freshman and they feel they have more time to vote him plenty years in the future and decided to reward a Sr. Thats kinda how it always is. I'm dissappointed for JW but happy for Smith, who has been a class act at Tulsa.

Surprised by Morestead. Haven't checked any stats or anything but I really feel like he is a genuine weapon and big advantage for this Mustang team.

Don't worry about it. Every year when the teams come out, SMU gets screwed.

So Henderson is leading the NATION in kickoff returns, but is only second-team all-conference? Nice.

The fact that Thomas Morstead is not on the first team as a punter is laughable.

Smith is an OK quarterback, but even though he's a freshman, Willis should have been on there.

Great to see both Haywood and Rogers on the first team, and Muse getting in there, too. Too bad Bonds didn't get to complete the honor for the whole line, but it speaks volumes about the job Coach Roark and Coach Sawyer have done with that group.

Morestead is a great asset to our team but he did have his share of shanked punts this year offset in average by some boomers. I watched the ECU punter last Saturday and he is very good. I can not comment on his season long consistancy but I can believe he could be the top CUSA punter.

He's only returned 10 kicks. That's not enough for him to qualify in the national rankings.

Logical thinking. What an interesting concept.

He should still be first-team all-conference, because there isn't a better kickoff returner in the conference. It doesn't say how many, it's supposed to be who's the best, right? That's always been the excuse I've heard when an SMU guy has great stats for rushing or tackles or something, and doesn't get the honor.

Glad to see Poynter and Muse get some recognition. Congratulations to all of the Mustangs honored!

Second team all-conference is pretty darn good for someone who appeared in 3 conference games and returned 5 kicks.

5 kicks, one TD. Too bad he didn't get 20 more kicks.
