SMU in the Draft?Haven't seen anything about Raymon, Tracy, Austin or any others in the draft previews. Anybody know how they have done in camps this spring and whether they have a shot at being drafted?
Re: SMU in the Draft?Raymon Brown should get picked in the late rounds, and there's a (perhaps remote) chance that Adami will get picked up, probably in the last round. Tracy Hart will get a free agent look, and it's possible Rodnick Phillips will, too, although his lack of overpowering size or breakaway speed means he'll be hard-pressed to make a team. Another former SMU player trying to latch on somewhere this summer: Kelsey Adams.

Re: SMU in the Draft?Don't forget about Pennington, he will probably be looked over in the draft, but has a good chance of being picked up as a free agent. Jeff is perfect FB size and is an awesome blocker. Good luck, Jeff.

Re: SMU in the Draft?I hope someone gives Pennington a chance. He has a great work ethic and could block in the NFL.
Re: SMU in the Draft?True - Pennington is a great guy, and if anyone deserves a chance, it's him. I'm afraid the speed issue might get him caught in a numbers game if he gets a look someplace, but he does block like a runaway train.
Also, Bandy has the size to play. Here's hoping he gets a fair shake. PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Re: SMU in the Draft?Does Rodnick Phillips have a chance? When he was (I think) a sophomore, he ran back a kickoff against New Mexico 99 yards for a score. Ever since then, people have said he's too slow. Bet UNM doesn't think he's slow. Anyone know his speed? Good kid - I'd like to see him in the NFL!
Re: SMU in the Draft?I believe that was his freshman year. The reason I remember that is I had a roommate that would not stop bragging about how he blocked for him all the way down....
