Well, good for them. If we could have stopped them on 3rd and 19...

ah, forget it. That's why they have a great QB in Kolb -- playmaker.

I heard their attendance was a Robertson Stadium record -- a little less than 32,000.

They are a darn good team. I wish them well in Memphis against South Carolina (?).

The last two years have proven the West is the better division.

Don't look now but a high school coach just won Conference USA. Props to Houston for having the coconuts to think out of the box and hire a "risky" coach.

also was that a Division 1A Transfer Biron Ealy from Arizona catching two second half bombs to provide the winning points in a 14 point victory in the Championship Game? Advantage Houston. About 9 more Division 1A Transfers will be ready to play next year for the Cougars-all highly recruited to give UH immediate depth and maturity.

I was surprised they said the crowd was a stadium record. How did they not have more than that when Texas played there a few years ago (2000 or 2001)?

a little secret I learned and confirmed by at least 5 posters on the UH board. The former AD was so worried about perception that he has inflated the capacity of that staduim. Its supposed to hold a tad under32,000-actual capacity is more like 28,500 with some standing room only.

Kolb completed 19 of 31 passes for 258 yards and became the conference's career passing leader, leapfrogging Louisville quarterback Chris Redman. Kolb, making his 49th career start, has 12,578 passing yards.

Kolb's two TD passes moved him into second place on the league's career list, two behind Redman's record of 84.

Any chance JWillis will break that 84 career TD mark ???

At least we lost to the conference champs and played them a heck of a game. Congrats Houston.

I have to admit that last year when I found out that the conf. championship would not be at a neutral site I thought it sounded sort of minor league, but now I think that was a good call. Both this year and last year our championship has drawn far better than the MAC, which uses Ford Field in Detroit. That looks better on TV and helps when we next negotiate the TV contract.

They have played their "big games", i.e. Miami an UT in Reliant.

Agreed. I was at the game and there should have been a delay of game called. Fortunately it had no impact on the outcome but it might in the polls this week. UH is now 10-3 with the 3 losses being by a combined 6 points. They were also receiving votes the past 2 weeks- maybe this week they break into the top 25 and give CUSA a ranked team headed into bowl play where UH is supposed to face an SEC school in the Liberty Bowl. Possible scenario: UH beats SEC team in Liberty Bowl and UT loses their bowl game, UH would likely finish higher than Texas in the polls for the first time in how long???

The official attendance was 31,814. It was standing room only and Stallion is right that the capacity of the stadium is overinflated because they feared of the stigma associated with having a sub 30k seat stadium. It was really rockin' in The Rob and was a great game to attend. I would love to see the same for SMU.

TCU could still be a factor too. Last time I looked they were blowing out Air Force 38-0 mid 3rd and could finish 11-2. They seem to be playing some very good football here at the end. Actually its too bad those two teams don't play-I'd love to see TCU-UH in a bowl game.

Good god, I'd throw my TV out the window before I'd watch that. They're both decent teams, and should proud of their seasons, I guess, but I hate TCU and hate any school that hires coaches willing to hang 95 points on a team of (basically) high school post-graduates. I hope those teams don't play each other, because I want them both to lose.
