Alex, I share your thoughts exactly.

O.K., not a losing season but no better than a .500 season with a big *
(one win versus lower division)

People need to give the I-AA thing a rest; a lot of programs had a I-AA win (a few had losses). Personally, I would have no problem scheduling a I-AA team again.

Florida still has a chance at a berth in the championship game and one of their wins was against I-AA Western Carolina

Winning season, losing season or break even season...however you want to look at it....it was more entertaining...more things to be excited about...things to look forward to....than in a long time...even Joe Average Public was talking about SMU in a positive way...and that has been a long time coming....so, cheers to an even better 2007...September can't get here fast enough!!

This the best post yet! We need to get excited about what is going to happen. Some people cannot, because loosing is just as contagious as winning. We focus on what we need to do to keep from loosing, instead of focusing on what we need to do to win. If that is what some of you really want?

maybe that's because some of us have been SMU fans for more than a year and a half.
