i hope boise state dominates against Oklahoma...they have the most annoying fans in college football...USC a close 2nd
Like the avatar. But you might want to change that to the FUSCoffense. Never seen them shut down like that in a long time. I know the personnel is completely different but still. I'm assuming you went. You had to be in shock at what happened.
Okay, let's go the BCS worst nightmare. UF beats OSU in a close game. Michigan beats USC rather handily. Louisville thrashes WF. Boise demolishes OU. LSU beats ND by a wide margin. The trophy goes to Florida, but who do the coaches name #1? This can get really funny.
The coaches have to name Florida #1 because they were 2nd in this weeks polls. They would move up after beating OSU...
However, 1 loss teams dont fare to well in the National Championship Game... Florida State, Nebraska, and OU are 3 teams with 1 loss that lost the title game.
Wasn't there, but watched it on TV. It was probably one of the worst displays I've seen from this team since 2001. Even the Oregon State loss was more respectable than that. As I mentioned on another thread, at times I felt like I was watching SMU (from the REALLY bad days). Their play was so apathetic, so tired, so "don't worry, we'll pull it out like always"... and I was pretty disappointed with play-calling, although I guess I don't know much about how that works. 7 games was a nice run against ucla. We'll see how things shake-up around LA now, but I doubt it will be a huge shift in market domination or anything. GO MUSTANGS!
FIGHT ON!
While you are correct that OU had one loss and lost the BCS title game, its important to mention that the team that beat them also had one loss. "Remember Danny - Two wrongs don't make a right but three rights make a left."
Yup, the B.S. C., and the BS smells just like the BCS, and needs a real playoff system. An unbeaten Boise State, and I've stayed there a couple of nights, should be able to prove themselves in a 16 team playoff, or the NCAA Div. IA smells like they thought we would. Roadkill ![]()
For you people that want a playoff system, you most not be a long time fan of college football. What makes CFB so great is the bowl systems they have and by implamenting a playoff some teams might lose 'guarenteed' money from bowl obligations.
A playoff would help in years where there arent 2 undefeated BCS conference teams but if teams agree to a playoff they will lose those millions that the BCS gives them. Boise doesnt care about not being included in on the championship talks. They are just happening getting that experience of a lifetime and collecting all those millions for their school. This year was the closest thing to a playoff. UT eliminated there self, so did Auburn, West Virginia, Rutgers, ND, and USC....as for Michigan, they knew they were playing for a spot in that game. They lost and dont deserve a rematch. Once Ohio State wins, none of this talk will matter.

Haha? Seriously, the two best teams without a doubt right now are Ohio State and USC. Boise State is a joke. They have the worst SOS in college football. I could go undefeated against some of the teams they've played. Ok, maybe not.[/quote] Umm...Boise beat Oregon State who just happened to beat USC. Sorry, you couldn't be more wrong about them. And they will kill OU. You can count on that. Screw the Big 12.

Ive only seen highlights of Ian Johnson but he'll be lucky if he can come close to 100 yds against that stingy OU defense. This is an OU team that could have had a chance to play OSU in Glendale if they werent screwed in Eugene.
And without its starting QB and starting OG for the whole year, and star RB for about half the season. I don't like him, but Bob Stoops is even better than his fans think he is. With all due respect to the guys at Rutgers and Wake Forest, Stoops has done a better coaching job this year than anyone in the country.
Agreed. What Stoops has done is amazing this year. He has managed to keep this team working as a complete unit.
No one gave OU a chance once Rhett was kicked off the team. Paul Thompson is a lot better than people think. He is a true leader.
