Yes. Allen Patrick and Chris Brown have been great in replacing AD....
OU is like the Denver Broncos of CFB...they can plug in anyone in the backfield because they have great blocking up front by the O-line.
The argument that Boise St. is just happy to be here is crazy. You're an idiot if you think you speak for their fans when you say they don't want a shot at the national title. They want to see how their team stacks up against the best in the country, and a plyaoff system would allow for this. I have been a fan of college football for a very long time, and I think that nothing could be better than a true playoff system. In most years that the BCS has been around there's been some controversy over who's playing in the title game. A playoff system would eliminate all doubt and could still be very profitable for everyone involved. It's also idiotic to thihk that under a playoff system teams won't get paid. That's probably the easiest part to figure out. This year was a complete aboration, we just happened to get lucky that there was a "natural playoff." This year was one of the most excitining in recent memory BECAUSE there was a playoff atmosphere the last few weeks. Wouldn't it be nice to have an actual structured playoff to ensure this kind of excitement year in and year out? Here's to those that wish us well and all the rest can go to hell!!!

I will admit that sometimes I am an idiot but everyone makes mistakes...Chris Petersen said that he and his team were happy to be apart of the BCS when they were selected to play in the Fiesta bowl. I dont think UTAH complained when no one gave them a chance to play for a national title. That year Auburn was undefeated too..

If we had a playoff, the USC-UCLA game would not have mattered. USC had already won the conference (i.e. locked up a playoff spot) and the loss would not have been so devastating. They might not have even used all of their starters.
College football is unique in that it is the only major sport where every regular season game matters in the championship picture. A playoff would diminish that.
Yes...CFB is so great because EVERY game counts....you cant take off a game to rest your players....Every game matters.
and sorry about the 3 posts above...my comp is screwin up now.
Good point that college football is the only sport where regular season matchups mean so much. I think that it really comes down to whether you prefer that format and having a real controversy to determine a national champ or you'd rather see a system that truly produces a national champion. I understand that the regular season games would be a little less important, but all the games would still have an impact on seeding in a playoff. Using the USC-UCLA game as an example, SC was looking at a # 2 seed going into the "playoff" and would've matched up with a team like Boise St. or ND in the first round. I'm sure they'd much prefer that matchup over playing a team like LSU or Michigan. I'm sure they'd still use all their starters, and the game would still have a lot of meaning. I would just rather see a system that determined a champ on the field rather than by some [deleted] sportswriter's opinion or the opinion of a coach who doesnt have time to look at other teams. Here's to those that wish us well and all the rest can go to hell!!!
