ReedFrawg - I remember you from the early "Boulevard" days. You're allright - not your typical Lizzard. Best of luck to you and to TCU (except when we play you of course). Wish we were still in the same conference.
Just so all the lame and crappy bowls can still matter, go with a 32 team playoff. That would get you 31 games. Of course it keeps pretty simple from there. Every conference champion gets in then the rest are open invites. Make the sites actually bid on the games. That would clear out about 10 useless bowl sites. Play games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for week one which would be 1 week after conference championship games. Then play the next games the weekend before Xmas. Then play the 3rd round on Jan 1st. The semi-finals could be played the following week and the finals played 1 week before the superbowl. Still can't figure out why this process would not generate more money for all the schools as opposed to the screwed up mess that exists today.
