Found this on chron.com and it is a release from CUSA. .142 winning percentage OOC for the Sunbelt and we were one of the teams that padded that percentage. Embarrassing.
Also, gotta be pretty pleased with having 5 bowl tie ins considering how poor our winning percentage was as a conference (as pointed out by the blog writer at the Chronicle).
Non-conference records for the 11 Division I-A conferences against D-I opponents. Here are the winning percentages:
SEC: 0.825
Big East: 0.764
Big Ten: 0.729
Pac-10: 0.653
Big 12: 0.621
ACC: 0.538
Mountain West: 0.400
WAC: 0.354
C-USA: 0.317
MAC: 0.250
Sun Belt: 0.142

I've seen but not confirmed the SunBelt was 3-1 against CUSA. I know UH and SMU both lost to the Sun Belt. Seriously there ain't that much difference especially if all games were Home/Home -a lot less than some of you think.

So basically you're saying we're in the worst conference with the worst teams in Division I football.
GO MUSTANGS!
FIGHT ON!

Arkansas State 26, Memphis 23
LA Lafayette 31, Houston 28

Remember SMU v UAB last year...add 25 yards onto that 33 yard touchdown, and make the WR bring the ball down in the middle of 4 defenders instead of 1 or 2 and that is how Ark State beat Memphis.

This would actually mean something if they posted the OOC strength of schedule...
The Big10 got their .729 against mostly MAC teams.
As I have stated earlier, the combined 10 OOC wins (out of I think 13) from PennSt, Wisc, and Purdue were not against a SINGLE winning program (save a 1aa team - Youngstown State).
I believe at least 5 of those 12 wins were against ESPN Bottom 10 teams (not including Bottom 10 Big10 teams - Illinois)

I am corrected.
I think NINE is closer to ELEVEN than the TWENTY-ONE as Froggiefever would have you believe... I missed Nicholls and KSU's NWState...
