The analysis is actually pretty good (from a tarheel of all things).

The main difference here is his use of players. I am not contrasting tallent here, I am talking about not taking advantage of mis-matches be it speed or size when we are both on the offense and defense.

We are really about 8 deep on this team before a pretty big drop-off. Given that, we should be seeing quite a bit of substitutions w/o disrupting the paly of the game.

We have not played a team w/ that one great player yet. Will be interested to see how we contain.

That's a good point on taking adv. of mis-matches which, in theory, should lead to productivity both on offense and defense.
I have not been able to watch the Ponies yet this year, how has Doh been substituting during the games? Are most of the 8 DBB talked about able to play a few multiple positions to keep a solid rotation going?

Another thing you can watch for on defense is that the ball defender is supposed to cheat slightly toward the middle, so if he gets beaten, it is to the outside. If a dribbler gets into the paint, the defender has messed up. If the dribbler turns the corner to the baseline, that is not so bad. The defender will ride him down the line and a helpside defender (either the one zoning in the paint or the nearest big) should block his path, taking the charge or setting a trap. If the driver gets to the basket, someone has missed a rotation.
