Let the stands of Daniel-Meyer tell you what you need to know about how the toads support a losing program.
Knuckle: the Mustangs were caught up in the emotion of the moment when they ran to the locker room. I don't know this for a fact but I got the impression that they ran that way to celebrate instead of doing it in front of all the Frog fans. Do it in the privacy of their own locker room. If you watched, they then came back out and did shake hands with the Frogs and their coaches with Doherty in the lead. Disassociate from the Frogs? No way. It's a rivalry and one that needs to be hyped up even more in ALL sports especially football and basketball.
I did watch the game. And I realize they came back to shake hands, but they appeared to do so because Doherty made them. Even so, I cannot talk. I was jumping around like the drunk fool that I was, and was too excited and in no condition to shake hands with anyone without drooling. My "disassociate ourselves from the frogs" comment was meant to be facetious, based on many of their fans' comments about us as of late. OF COURSE it is important to continue playing and pummelling them 65! Seasonal note: For an early Christmas present, my wife presented me with "Christmas Shopping," a CD by Buck Owens and his Buckaroos. It runs a continuous loop in the KnuckleStang house. Recommended listening to all. Merry Christmas ponyfans
Re: TCU Coach = Poor Loser!OK, Neil, tell you what. Let's tee it up next year, with Papa Dia, Ryan Harp, Alex Malone, and whatever freshmen you've got coming. If you're still employed, let's tee it up the year after that, and the year after that .... when there's no reason to believe Matt Doherty's recruiting won't get better and better and better. My money's on the Ponies every time.
It's a very, very tough shot," TCU coach Neil Dougherty said. "He just knocked it in. If we do it over three more times, we win the next three."
Calm down -- To me, this is in reference to the last play of the game, which he is correct. I don't know the exact time on the clock, but it was minimal and we lucked out.
As someone once said, "Great teams learn how to win." SMU did that against TCU the other night. 'Nuff said.
