J.T. Brooks, Arlington MartinRivals says he is the son of an SMU great. Anybody know who that would be. The only Brooks I can remember is Keith Brooks who did get some All-conference mention in the early 80's but he was aboit 6-0, 190. This kid is 6-5, 320. Although he is only rated 5.2, his coach says he had a "breakout Senior year" which has caused some strong interest by such teams as Kansas, SMU, Rice, Tulsa and UNLV. He visited Kansas last week and seemed impressed but states he wants to visit SMU January 5. Its probably a two team race according to Rivals.
In the 1984 win against Arkansas that gave SMU a share of the SWC, Keith Brooks had a key interception.
