New year and a New way to help the MustangsHello, This is George Simons or BUS if you know me from the Boulevard. I am going to be working with the guys at Pony Fans to try to help people reduce their electric bills and help the Mustangs.
First off, Cirro Energy is one of many Retail Providers of Electricity in Texas. We are like TXU and Reliant Energy in that we do the pricing and billing for electricity. All delivery ( the poles and wires are still owned by TXU Delivery ) Every retail provider pays to have the poles and wires maintained and TXU Delivery performs that task for every retail provider that is, in a de-regulated area. TXU is the Historical Provider up in the North Texas Area. What I want to do is help you save money on your electric bill and donate 15% of my earnings to the SMU Mustang Club. Cirro Energy is ALWAYS cheaper than TXU. Most all providers have gone to selling on annual contracts so be aware that there is a committment. Cirro is extremely competitive on residential. Another area that Cirro can help for some Mustang fans is Commercial Property. Cirro has some big name customers like the Gallaria Mall and Hotel location. Commercial Energy is priced daily ( Like the price of Oil or Gas ) and I will work with you to get an up to date Energy price from Cirro Energy. I would like for you to give me a call at 214-906-2706 to talk about how I may help you save money on electricity and how we can team up and help the SMU Mustang Club. In the near future, I will have a sponsor page on PonyFans and you can click to the sign up page. My Rep. Number is 5153 and you will need to put that in the box that asks: How you knew about Cirro. Thank you for you interest in Cirro Energy and GO MUSTANGS. Take Care George S. Simons Autorized Agent Cirro Energy Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"

Mrydel:
Cirro is a Texas Only Company and then only in De-regulated areas of Texas. It can get confusing. Garland, Austin areas have city owned Electric Companies and then there are areas like around Frisco that have a Coop service. Non of those are de-regulated. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
What if I send you a 300 mile extension cord?
My energy charge is $138.93 (this does not include the taxes, franchise tax,customer charge and other little add ons), and the KWH usage is 1632. My math tells me that is $.085/per KWH. Total bill is $146.32 with the other "stuff". But I am not kidding that our rates are being increased by 38% effective 1/1/2007. Thus if this were January's bill the KWH would be $.115/perKWH. By the way, good luck on your venture. I would talk to you about using your service if I were there.
Mrydel, TXU Price To Beat rate is like .159 per kWh. Electricity is funny some times.
I can tell you one thing. It's going to go up for the rest of your life. I am the first to want alternative energy sources, Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Good luck with that. Here in the land of Dominion Resources, we just keep paying whatever they ask because the lights tend to keep coming on. We had a guy run for governor essentially on a platform of turning Virginia Power over to the people. He lost.
Bus, if I understood correctly what I heard on the news today, the "Price To Beat" aspect of "deregulation" will no longer be in effect starting next year (next week). What will that do in regards to pricing for all the various retail providers starting January 1?
Most of the REP's have already started positioning themselves with pricing based on TXU's new retail prices.
They have come down some (.16/kwh to .15/kwh) but we don't anticipate a huge drop since everyone trys to be about 8-10% less than TXU's retail price. Cirro's rate is $.129/kwh for a one year contract. There are others that are lower but they are for 1-3 month contracts and then convert you to their standard plan at $.13-.15/kwh. I don't have a crystal ball but I don't think Texas is going to see a huge drop in pricing. I hope this helps. George Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Pony94;
You are stuck for right now. Municipal Electric companies do not have to de-regulate. Some use their electric rate to subsidize their tax rates or provide an additional source of funds. Some areas have Co-ops that are not required to de-regulate. If you have TXU I am confident you can change providers and save money. One change to the market place is the use of contracts. Most offer a one year rate and most offer others as well. READ your contract and make sure the rate is constant over the term of the contract. If you can not wsitch yourself, pass this along to all your Mustang friends and help them save money AND help the Mustang Club. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
George, I have GEXA at 13.56 on a month to month. If you can beat that on a year contract, I will give you a call.
