Bamba Fall had 0 points 0 Rebounds and could only get off 1 shot. Against Florida State 1 point, 0 points from the Field, 1 rebound and could only get off 1 shot. Let's not even bring up what Longar Longar did against him because I feel charitable because he probably felt depressed and tired because of the Winter Solstice.

That would be a Tubbs project that can only block shots on occassion.

nice cheap shot. so we are gonna blame tubbs for this one? Where did Ike (Doh's guy who coulda played for North Carolina) go? no points, 4 fouls. a bunch of you guys just dont have any sense. I love the common comparison to the UL Monroe score last year vs this year proving how improved we are. laughable. I think we lost to OU by 3 last year. does that mean Doh has us worse by 30 points at this same point in the year? No, but thats how things get twisted around here. anybody with a clue who has watched this team knows its weaknesses and those didnt change with a few wins over the Schools of the Blind, Deaf and Dumb (including tcu). We cant shoot the ball worth a damn, or rebound it against a real opponent. same problem as last year, and several years before that. tubbs couldn't fix it overnight and neither can Doherty.

Pony Fan knows what he is talking about. He is one of the most observant basketball fans SMU has. Kind of like what Stallion wishes he has for football.

You always take things personal...it is what it is man. yes, our weaknesses are apparent.

It is what it is, no doubt, but dont try to lay it all on tubbs. the guys that should really be leading this team right now, Pearson and Roberts, are Dements "guys" arent they? funny thing is tubbs might have had as much to do with building OUs team today as smus. I might be mistaken, but wasnt longar longar recruited a few years ago when tubbs was there? whatever, it was a pitiful loss tonight and really no excuse to lose like that.

not sure about that-I think OU had just about their entire roster turn over in the last few years.

Bamba Fall had a bandage on his hand and wrist. Anyone know what happened? Looked like he lost control of the ball a couple of times with that hand. Hope it's not serious. He might be "a Tubbs guy," but Coach Doherty, who many seem to think has a sensational eye for talent, said Bamba has the most ability of any player on the team, and the most potential. He didn't contribute a lot tonight, but to suddenly call him a project again is silly. He played well against a lot of conference teams last year, and he'll do it again.

I hate when people take cheap shots. I didn't like Stallion at first, and yes he can be an arse, but he does a LOT of research and DOES know his stuff, as does Hoop fan, and a lot of others on this site. Yes, Bamba is a project, but one I'd recruit 10 times out of 10. Guys with his size and potential don't grow on trees. Just last year, we were discussing his NBA potential. I've seen him projected to be drafted on nbadraft.net. Does that mean anything? No, but it's something. Bamba's got a ways to go, but by his junior or senior year, and I do expect him to be here then, he should be darn good.

I definelty think Bamba was worth the scholarship-that was never the point. I have great hopes he can mature into a solid if not spectacular player as a Junior or Senior/

I heard that Doherty asked a rich alum for money to buy one of his players a taco and some soap.

I'll bet Bamba has learned how to do his own laundry. One skill set learned.
