No kidding. Just where the heck are all the season ticket holders @ Moody this year? I spoke to a couple the other day who have tickets there and they haven't been to a game all year. I asked why...they said, "We just haven't felt like going." Whatever.

seriously look at the Home Schedule so far. Its crap. As long as College administrators keeping trotting out this garbage in both Football and Basketball they will continue to draw big yawns from their fans.

either that or schedule big 12 teams and have SMU fans outnumbered 10-1. Then, most likely we get creamed and our fans yawn and say what else is new? It's damned if we do, damned if we dont!

I don't think it's like that. We could schedule other mid-major teams that are comparable in talent. I don't think it has to either be a snooze fest or an a** kicking.

I had the best seats ever for the biggest as* whooping ever. Myself and 3 other buddies were on the floor to watch this game and I'll share my few observations from the game.

- Killen attacked the hoop like a man, but didn't finish well. Rack went up strong but he just is not a finisher around the basket. Pearson played quietly well. The rest of the guys were complete non-factors. To the point of embarrassment.

- After OU tossed a few of our shots, everyone was timid about trying to finish around the basket. This even included Killen, our most aggressive player, who had a few shots altered.

- Bamba and Ike could not have been more non existent. Both were wastes of space.

- Even when we had good defensive sets, OU was still managing to drain shots right over us. When we did get them to miss, our guys seemed to forget how to box out and/or fight for boards.

- One excuse I will make is I feel like we got screwed at the end of the first half and it really killed some momentum we had going into the break. Griffin DID get all ball on the block but he landed ON Killen. That was a blatant foul and the refs were just too blinded by Griffen's amazing hops to call the foul. Then OU hits a 3 and Dez gets called for a charge when the defensive player was not even close to being planted. We were well on our way to going into the half down by a manageable 5 or 6 and ended up down by 11 at the break. Ya we ended up getting run, but it was tough to watch the half end so awfully.

Oh, and fire Doherty. If Tubbs or Dement were here we win that one by 20+. :lol:

Maybe I shouldn't be an SMU fan. I don't fit some folks' definition of an SMU fan. I try to go to every game that I can (football, basketball, soccer) no matter who the opponent is. Isn't that what fans are supposed to do?

Let's keep some perspective here. Before the season we were looking at a .500 season as successful in Doh's first year. He has little talent to work with. Great coaching can only keep a team above their talent level for so long.

I'll be pleased if our guys play hard (not like at OU) and we have a winning record.

Next year I want to see major improvement.

Absolutely and no matter what our record is. Whether we support the coach or not, we need to show our support for the players.

Next year we will be a young team with all the freshmen. We can hope several make the transition and make us competitive but certainly still early to expect big changes.
