No Waco Hotels

Postby SMUstang » Tue Aug 19, 2003 11:10 am

I have been unable to find a room in Waco because it is Baylor's "Family Day". I also tried the Stagecoach Inn in Salado and they were also booked up.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

It's family weekend at Baylor. Have you tried Temple?

Is family weekend the same as parents weekend? To quote Steve martin - its like those French have a different word for everything!!

Maybe some place in Hillsboro? It's about 30-45 minutes from Waco, depending on how fast you drive, and if memory serves, there are a lot of hotels there.
I really shouldn't drink and type.

"Family Day" is more inclusive than "Parents Weekend."

As for scheduling, it's obviously a Baptist conspiracy against good Methodists.

its a 6:00 game-you could probably be back in Dallas by 11:30-unless you're dying for that Waco nitelife.

If you look at SMU's schedule I believe we have family weekend instead of parent's weekend as well.
The attitude dictates that you don't care whether she comes, stays, lays, or prays. I mean whatever happens, your toes are still tappin'. Now when you got that, then you have the attitude.

Hey stallion, I think people want a hotel so that they can go out drinking after the game... oh, wait... why the hell would anyone want to stay in Waco? I for one am looking forward to the up and back to Austin and getting the heck out of there as quick as I can!

That's what I'm doing. Down that afternoon, back that night. No need to contribute to the Waco economy.

That's funny...especially since Steve Martin is from Waco!
