New update-according to the DMN Malone is averaging 23.5 ppg and 9.5 rbpg-both a substantial jump from last year. Obviously, he's a much improved player as those AAU reports suggested.

Malone had 27 pts against one of the best teams in the area, North Crowley. He matched up against arguably the best junior in the state, Willie Warren who had 35 pts. NC won 75-66.

Does that mean he is already working on perfecting the SMU defensive scheme?

btw, Warren is a 5 star recruit and the #4 ranked SG in the country. He lists Baylor, UT, TT and A&M, no mention of SMU.

Malone scored 23 in a loss to Mansfield Summit. Think the entire team scored about 52.
